Lee Vishloff, President

As president of Nebula, Lee is responsible for general management and overall corporate strategy. For more than 25 years, Lee has been translating technology innovations into business solutions for telecommunications firms and their customers. During his career, Lee has worked in both startup and major corporations, including PMC Sierra, MPR Teltech, and Argon Security. He served in roles spanning from research and development to senior management. Lee undertook a broad range of roles that benefited from his engineering background and strong leadership skills, including creating new products and leading large, complex projects. An industry veteran, Lee helps scientists, educators and industry bridge the innovation gap by serving on the Telecommunications Research Labs board and several joint industry/academic committees. Lee holds a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and has attended Stanford management programs.

   
Peter Schmelcher

Peter Schmelcher, Founder & CTO

As Nebula’s CTO, Peter is responsible for conceiving and designing Nebula’s EtherOptic products. The founder of Nebula, Peter has been at the forefront of EtherOptic design since the early days of optical networking. Peter first began designing optical equipment as part of the Phillips Cable team that manufactured and installed the first commercial optical cable in Canada in 1981. In the early 1990s, Peter saw the opportunity to help service providers serve their business customers and create revenues from new fiber deployments and ventured out on his own. Peter has been the innovation force behind Nebula since its inception, and continues to conceive leading-edge EtherOptic products. Peter holds a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
